RASPBERRY DELIGHT

In a blender/smoothie maker:

~Take 2 of the 6 oz. cans of pineapple juice {those small individual serving cans of juice}
~Add 12 oz. frozen raspberries {Where I shop its a like quart size bag of the frozen berries}
~The sections of one large orange

Blend till smooth
This raspberry mixture is like a soft sherbet,
only through a straw it may be drank
{kinda like the thickness of a milkshake}

CHOCOLATE-RASPBERRY DELIGHT-I-LICIOUS

In a serving dish:

Place a scoop or so of Chocolate Ice Cream
Add anywhere from a drizzle of the raspberry mixture {above}
to like say a quarter cup or more
You could stop and enjoy at this point
or
Add Cool Whip {optional}

or
instead of the cool whip
Add some 7-Up {Makes a float}

...Also, any of the RASPBERRY DELIGHT mixture that isn't used
Then place in a covered plastic container
and place in refrigator.
Keeps 2-3 days

Yunno my parents had rows of the things when we were growing up and we used to belly-ache about having to go out and pick 'em in the hot sun; they grow back. that and cutting down the dry stems in winter and burning them. Gotta say though they're really good, I especially like them when they're what most would call a bit underripe. When they're still firm and a bit tangy.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Raspberries

You grow your own?

Oh how fortunate...

I could eat them by the handfulls if they didn't cost so much
Just plain... and YES! I agree they are better when firm, a little underripe as that tart flavor makes them to be just perfect.

I came up with his recipe as when they are store bought in this hot weather they ripen so fast that they simply spoil and at, can you believe this... at like $3.99 for a container that is about the size of 1/4 a quart, well, that is what got me to thinking about purchasing them frozen. You know back in the day I can remeber when raspberries sold for $1.00 a quart. At today's prices that is $16.00 a quart for fresh ones!!! Outrageous... so when they go on sale for 2 little containers for $5.00 I think, wow what a bargan and then I have to think that is $10.00 a quart... stil, I LOVE them so...and to me this is what I buy when given to splurge. :)

Webl not now, but when I was a boy. And, being kids, we lacked the appreciation for what we got.

They are really easy to grow tooo, and if ppl knew how easy they are to grow, I think more ppl would grow them and not pay as much money.
